Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace are goldmines for cheap materials. I found chain-link panels and repurposed them for my run. Chain link with electric reinforcement is worth the extra investment. A well-maintained electric fence can deter predators, but a determined animal might push through, especially during food shortages. I suggest using both for peace of mind.

Heat lamp works but can be risky-brooder plate is a safer, more natural option.
